TL;DR To effectively seduce, talk about psychology of pickup but make sure you won't mention pickup itself.

Here I present a field tested seduction routine for Sedditors.

Passion is attractive. Regular seddit lurkers are obviously passionate about pickup. Pickup has a lot to do with psychology, which is always an interesting topic. However, talking about pickup is not a good idea unless you are really advanced in the game. Taking everything just said into consideration, here is what you can do:

Talk about seduction, but reframe it as a hobby interest in human psychology, i.e. cut out all the pickup details from it.

Example topics:

  • The law of state transference: how you feel influences how other people feel. Non-pickup example: unstifling shy nerds with outgoing behavior.

  • Reality distortion field / self-fulfilling prophecy: if you behave as something is true (e.g. that you are awesome) people will believe it and in the end it will become true. Non-pickup examples: Steve Jobs, Bill Clinton.

  • Positiveness: it is possible to be constantly positive. Most people incorrectly justify they negative feelings and don't even try to reframe them. Wrong! Non-pickup example: getting A- doesn't mean you suck because you didn't got A. You rock because you got A-.

  • Emotions can be controlled: if you feel bad, you can reframe yourself into feeling good. Non-pickup example: children in Africa, anyone? Really, you don't have reasons to worry.

  • Internalization: constant exposure to stimulation accustoms our brain to stimulus and makes us more confident in its presence. By internalization we also gain ability to do something skillfully without thinking about it. Non-pickup example: bungee jumping, learning to play guitar.

  • Non-reactivness / frame-absorption: by not reacting emotionally to somebody, you show higher status/value. Non-pickup example: avoiding emotional reaction (staying calm) in disputes drives your opponent crazy.
