Tonight after work, go to the neatest bar/pub, order a drink, look around.

I bet you will see at least 10 women who are just as pretty as your intern, if not more.

Don't shit where you eat, the downside could be awful, and there are plenty of women out there.

On the very last day that the intern is there, ask her for her contact info saying something like: how about coffee one of these days?

Consider that an intern would be a subordinate, so you are in a position of power over her. It doesn't matter what you think about the power equation, and it doesn't really even matter what she thinks (which you have no way of knowing). It matters more what the corporate policies are. Me personally, I would not hit on an intern or anyone who might feel pressure to comply. I'd rather win on a level playing field.

There's always a chance shit can happen when you get involved with women at work -- especially someone under you. That's a decision you'll have to make and weigh the risk versus reward.

That said, if you go ahead with it, don't overcomplicate this. You already talk to her and she's showing you signs. If she's potentially interested in something, she already knows. Start a conversation with her like you normally do, have a few laughs, and then ask her out.

"You're a lot of fun, we should grab drinks (or any other activity you like)." If she accepts, then you can suggest a day and grab her number. "Cool, what are you doing tomorrow night?" She's then either going to tell you she's free then or suggest another time if she's into it.
