I would like to preface this report with two important facts.

  • This is my first field report
  • I have always made it a point to never talk to girls at the gym, since for one I like to focus on my workout, and two, I assume she would to as well.

I was finishing up my leg day workout today at the gym when a girl that my afc friend and I have taken to calling "the contender" hb9. We call he this because at the time we had declared one patron of the gym "beautiful ymca girl," making hb9 a contender for the position. Really, this girl would have won it, but since we are talking about a fictional competition we will move right along.

Currently I'm nearing the end of "The Game," by Neil Strauss, and it has opened me up to a lot of general ideas that are applicable to nearly all social interactions in some way or another. I have found though, that bearing those concepts in mind is enough to guide my personality in the right direction to come off as the best sloshslapper I can be. That being said, this was not the kind of girl you see every day, and I went into the planning of this seduction bearing in mind the rule, "the pickup artist must be the exception to the rule."

Since we were in the gym I decided that working out would be a good theme for the opener, and my time constraint would obviously be my next set. I opened with, "Hey, I hate to interrupt your workout, but I have to ask what your leg day is like. I noticed that you have very developed glutes, and that's kinda what I'm going for." I said this in a way that was absolutely as serious as though I was asking Arnold Schwarzenegger himself the question, but I followed it up with a smile that said, "you and I both know I just told you you have a nice ass."

SHE ATE IT UP

She smiled the most adorable smile, and if I had been somewhere else I might have run the C vs. U shaped teeth routine on her, but I had to get back to my workout. I followed up with a few questions (I have yet to master open ended statements as a means of baiting qualification). She is twenty years old, which matches my age, despite my workout buddy insisting that she was probably much older. She goes to Lafayette... but most importantly I got a workout routine that apparently creates asses that are immune to gravity.

I went back to finish my workout and as I was walking out I went up to her and just said, "Hey, I didn't catch your name." She quickly volunteered it with a smile, I shook her hand, gave her my own, and held it just a little bit longer than a handshake generally lasts, with what I would like to think was a pretty decent twinkle in my eye.

As I was leaving I just gave her a two word pneumonic that makes my name unforgettable, and walked out of there like I didn't have a care in the world or a single design for continuing this seduction.

While I didn't close in any meaningful way, I did breach the physical barrier slightly and she really seemed to enjoy the short conversation we had. I got her name and she told me plenty about herself, even if I asked rather than led her to doing so. I know for sure that I will be motivated to go to the gym every day this week, just so I can actually get her number and take that lovely lady on a date. I would say that this was a good go toward reducing any lingering AA, and toward building openers, since it really just counts to be more interesting than the AFC.

Really, my main issue was the time constraint that I put on myself, and that working out puts on conversation in general, but here's hoping that I can follow through on this prospect before I go back to school on the 24th.

That's all I have on this particular engagement. I hope you maybe learned something if you are new, and I hope you can maybe teach me something if you are experienced. Thanks for reading.
