Alright guys, I love you and all, but I gotta throw down a pretty big criticism of the way we talk about this stuff.
'Not Giving a Fuck' will never ever work in seduction. In fact, by wanting to not give a fuck you are inherently giving at least one fuck. Rather, what that phrase means is, we as seducers must be resistant to the pain of rejection in order to best maintain our frame of mind and thus demonstrate the confidence which is associated with outcome independence.
We ought to do what we want to do. Ww ought to make ourselves happy, and enjoy our lives. We ought to put ourselves first, because no one else will unless we give them good reason. But we cannot simply not give a fuck, because no one likes people who don't give a fuck. No one likes people who pretend to not give a fuck. People like people who care enough about themselves that they will not be swayed from their path for the likes of just anyone. It is a confidence which transcends telling a girl she is cute. It is a confidence which says, 'you may be cute, but this is my roller coaster and you are either along for the ride or you are not.' If it hurts when she decides not to join us that is ok. It doesn't mean we failed to not give a fuck. It means we are a person who has a healthy conception of what it means to interact with people romantically. Granted... rejection does get easier with experience in dealing with it.
We are playing with people's feelings when we seduce them, and though they may want to have a casual hookup just like us, it is not up to us to trick those who do not want that into it. There must be morality when the lives of others are involved. I don't know about you, but I would rather live in a world where people are good to each other than one where they are not, and it is up to us to be good in that particular respect.
I am sure this will catch some flak, but it is meant to start a discussion about the inhumanity of the terminology which comes with starting seduction and whether it really has a place in the practice when we are if nothing else... ambassadors of love; physical, emotional, romantic, and lustful.
Please, think about it and let me know what you think. Where do you derive your morality from in terms of seduction? Do you think morality has a place in seduction? If not, why not. Hit me with some heavy thinking shit, and I will bet you will discover something of yourself in the process.
Thanks you for your input.
