Quick background: I'm new to really applying this stuff, but I've never had too much trouble with women, at least, getting their attention. I'm confident without being a huge douche and I have a very amiable look!
Here's what can happen when you RIGHT AWAY go and talk to a girl (or near a girl) that you made eye contact with as soon as you walk in.
On Friday I went out to a local bar I frequent every weekend or every other weekend or so.
As soon as I walked in I made eye contact with an HB8, blonde, as my two friends went towards the bar. The bar was pretty crowded. So there was a huge line, and I found myself standing next to the blonde's HB8.5 friend (brunette).
I just wanted to warm up a little bit, so I turned to the brunette and made some dumb joke about what was on TV. She seemed intrigued and we started talking. I thought she was cuter than the blonde anyway.
I made fun of some other girl that walked by wearing a ridiculous getup, and this cracked up the brunette and we traded names and shook hands. We'll call her Sally.
Sally and I sat down with her blonde (we'll call her Marsha) down at a nearby booth that had just opened up. At this point she broke the touch barrier and I did a little mirroring to get her a bit more comfortable. She told me I had a lot of balls for coming up and talking to her, and that I earned some "points." I could still tell she was still a bit unsure about the whole thing.
Now I hate it when girls do "points" so I always make some teasing jokes or negs about points. Her friend Marsha was unsure about trying to talk to a guy, so I acted calm, casual, and confident in talking to Marsha to assert some casual confidence in my persona.
Sally told me what she did for her job and said "if you ever need call me" I said, "if I don't need can I call you?" she said "NO"
Joked on that. And then a minute or two later she put her arm around me and said her and her friend were going to the bathroom.
A bit later she came back alone and sat VERY close to me in the now empty booth. Lots of kino as she was leaning over to try to see her friend. I rattled off some info on one of her interests and said she was "very turned on by that" and was intrigued by my degree from school. Many clear signs of interest, so we went to go dance.
BUT THE BAR TURNED ON THE LIGHTS WAY TOO EARLY. We were dancing to the exit music in the lights they had just turned on. LAME. It was nice to finally get her close but it was super strange. The sparse dance chat was much more flirtatious and direct than she had been at the table. She's finally on board. I suggested we go a block or two to another bar that will be open to finish our dance. She's good with this but needs to check with her friend.
So outside we regrouped outside on the street in front of all her friends and mine and said they can't make it to that other bar (something with Marsha's guy), so before I could even ask for her number she said "raincheck on dancing...but how will you get in touch with me?" We traded numbers.
I hugged her and kissed her on the cheek, she kissed me back on the cheek, and that was it. Given the audience I didn't feel a lip kiss was okay, but I needed to do something to let her know what was up.
When I got home I texted her "dancing at home is not nearly as fun as dancing at the other bar with you" she said "raincheck on the dancing!"
I waited until Tuesday to send another hello via text, and it was a very short back and forth. I was hoping she would be a bit more forward.
The next move is about getting her to the bar again this week to finish what I started.
Sorry if this was a bit long winded!
EDIT: I read the "text/phone" game section, since that's kind of where I am now with her and I definitely need work on that, as I'm pretty comfortable in person. I think the next bet here (since we had a short back and forth on Tuesday) is to ask her on Thursday to meet me at the bar on Friday or Saturday. Thoughts about the best way to go about doing it?
