this is always asked, and my response is always stop trying to meet women at clubs. unless you are physically or socially one of the best-off guys there, you will likely reap no dividends from your night out, minus a cover-charge / huge tab / taxi-fare or parking.

in spite of this, if clubs are still what you want to pursue (which is fine - plenty of ways to have fun at a club without ending your night with a hook-up), you will ALWAYS be more successful when you are with a group of people (guys or girls) who have high social value. a lot of "hooking up" at clubs happens because a guy and a girl went there as friends already having known each other, started drinking, and then by the end of the night were making out on the dance floor. if you have a good group of friends, this can easily be you...

few single girls just go off to clubs themselves, but groups of single girls are pretty common. unfortunately, i've seen many spurn advances because they don't want the other girls to think they are slutty / don't want to alienate their friends / their friends are protective.

so with that out of the way - the easiest place to approach women at clubs is while they are waiting for drinks at the bar. if you have a table, then it is fairly easy to get some to come up with you (sometimes you have to bite the bullet and invite their friends to come up too). as far as just going up behind one and dancing your way in, i used to do this with mixed results, but it happens to girls so frequently that it does not really set you apart from any other guy and most will turn you down no matter how attractive you are (unless it is at the end of the night).

if all else fails, buy a girl and her friends a round of drinks. it will set you back a little $, but it will definitely earn you an 'in' with them. a lot of talk is mixed about this - some guys think that the said behavior is beta, but it all depends how you spin it. if you are just aiming to have fun and enjoy yourself with some others, it will only come off as alpha, if anything. but if you buy her or anyone a drink "expecting" something in return, that is when the beta kicks in.
