It's a matter of investment and qualification, I'm guessing.

If you are annoyed by her, obviously you are investing less in her approval, attention, etc. She's doing the investing and most likely qualifying herself to you more. That buillds attraction.

If you enjoy her company, you seem to be doing more investing and qualifying, hence you hit the friend zone or lose her outright as something more "intriguing" comes along.

In short, do what you're doing to the girl that's annoying you to the girl you like.

No. I'm really really bad at canned techniques, since I don't have the Inner Game (read: confidence) to pull them off. Also, I tend to get bored very easily and when that happens, my mind starts to wander off. This means that I am practically forced to engage with the girl and have a meaningful conversation. Otherwise I simply I couldn't flirt effectively. OTOH I do enjoy flirting with people I find interesting (what a big surprise... ;) ) The end result is: the more I like a girl, the more effective I become.
