As a psychology student, I cannot stress how much these things oversimplify body language - not just this particular link, but most such 'guides to body language'. You really do need to take a more holistic approach to these things when you read them. Be particularly wary of overly-specific ones.

Palms that are faced outwards towards another indicate one's wish to stop and not approach

Any time you touch your own body, it's usually a nervous tic -- or at least, it can be subconsciously perceived as one. Even if you're scratching your ear because it actually itches, it can be perceived as a nervous tic.

So I made an effort to stop doing shit like that, and it's definitely helped. I stopped biting my nails, so now they look pretty nice and I get complimented on them all the time. And in many situations, when you're doing one of those "nervous tics," your body will naturally be more "closed-off." Just like when people say you shouldn't hold your drink in front of your chest -- your arm's now really close to your body, and it seems like you're being more "defensive."

Whoever started, Folded arms show that there is a sort of barricade between them and other people (or their surroundings) and indicate dissatisfaction, didn't know how comfortable it is. Moreover, decision making add comfort equals head down, arms folded, pondering, or admiring.

Example #2

Walking with your head down equals watching where my feet are stepping. This isn't lack of confidence, pity, or shame. In my opinion, it shows cerebral foresight. Intelligently walking in the sand barefooted or dramatic pause confident guy stepping on broken glass?

This is why certain education leads to mass stupidity. Get a degree in don't judge people, treat people fairly with open minds and you'll get ahead before a degree in psychology will find gainful employment.
