It's struck me that the idea of conveying social value can be quite important. What if you're somewhere you've never been? I feel like almost EVERY question I ask comes down to confidence and having good inner game. But let's say you're new to all this. How can I relate to host/ess, wait person, other patrons to convey social value. I almost think striking up a conversation with a complete stranger, to the point that I'm very engaged, would be a good thing. Again, most of my scenarios and questions come from the standpoint of wanting to remain attractive in my girlfriend's eyes, not specifically trying to pickup.

Thoughts on both pickup in a foreign place but especially conveying social value to a fairly new girlfriend in this scenario appreciated.
