I'm writing this for the newer PUA's on here...

This is not one of the most important lesson on here but it quite literally separates the men from the boys.

I ran into an old acquaintance today, the younger brother of a guy I knew from a long time back, he is 18.

We got to chatting about various things, but he immediately steered the conversation towards going out and partying. I obviously have no issues about this, so follow him into this conversation, and I literally mean follow... the guy has legendary amounts of energy.

Then the boasting started, thinly veiled things like when I asked how old he was now. "I usually don't tell people my real age, I am so many different ages, so much more mature than my friends. I've been with much older girls, all the way up to like 22."

When asked where he liked to go out: "Anywhere I can go crazy dancing, I'm a really good dancer so it rocks... " Weird seated dance moves

At this point I was certain he had recently got into pick up so I asked "Are you into pick up art?" Which made him freak out a little bit (classic oh shit I've been discovered).

Then his energy came back, and he excitedly asks if I want to hang out and party with him, and pick up girls... sigh He pulls out is phone and tries to hand it to me, I say "Nah mate, sorry. My crowd is a little older than yours"

"But I've been with a 22 year old girl... blah blah blah.."

Then he spent the next 10 minutes trying to convince me to go out and party with him, and give him my phone number.

I made up some bullshit excuse, but I now regret it and feel like I should have given him some real advice... so instead I will give it to you new PUA's.

SLOW THE FUCK DOWN.

You are doing everything right, you have followed advice, you have conquered that approach anxiety, built your energy, you know the principles, what to say, how to say it. Now sit back, slow down and relax. When you act hyper you look like a child. I remember doing this too. There is nothing more unattractive than acting like a child, which leads me to my next point...

ACT MATURE.

Even if you are 18, and actually immature. What do I mean? Well instead of telling me you like going dancing because you are good, say it's because you love it. Boasting is not DHV.

I have no issue with you being 18, I would have loved to go out with you and teach you, but energy and bravado is only going to get you so far, and to be honest you would have just annoyed me, and all my friends.

lastly, DON'T LOSE SIGHT OF WHO YOU ARE.

Putting on all that fakeness was extremely unattractive, not in terms of being sexy or anything like that, but just as a person.

I know he wasn't actually trying to pick me up, but same principles.

Have fun out there guys, but remember you're awesome. You don't need to fake anything just grow into the person you want to be.
