I'm not very far ahead with game but I've come a long way.

I've done 108 approaches. The most I've done in 1 night is 20. And I've done ~50 over a 2 week period. I've read Mystery Method, The Game, and Make Her Chase You. I sporadically read /r/seduction and other forums. I've watched training and in-field videos of Mystery, Style, and other PUAs. I've watched both seasons of The Pick Up Artist

I have tons of material sitting on my hard drive and bookshelf. Ive had professional PUA training which taught me a lot, but somehow not enough.

Last weekend, I was out at a club for New Years Eve. There are 4 people in the story: Me, a Girl (HB7/8), my friend, and her "boyfriend".

I was in a really bad mood due to a series of really bad things happening throughout the weekend including that night that were completely out of my control.

I came to the club looking like a disheveled mess. My hair was a wreck. I was stressed out and tense.

I didn't really do any approaches due to my mood the whole night. I was really just trying to enjoy the music to salvage the night. I had no intention to try to pick up a girl.

My friend who happens to be VERY good with girls but is also EXTREMELY annoying and crazy when drunk was there with me. Due to some shitty stuff that happened earlier in the night I didn't even want to talk to him at this point. (This is a crazy long story in of itself, but I will exclude it from this FR)

He walks past me standing next to the wall to a girl who is about 1 foot to my right. He says something to the girl and walks away.

The girl (HB7 or HB8) starts talking to me.

Me: I have no idea what he said to you

Girl: Oh, he said I should talk to you while he goes meets some other friends.

Random chit-chat ensues.

She makes some kind of comment about me being sober.

During the converstaion, girl re-engages the conversation not once but TWICE after there is a pause. This is an IOI.

(Typical random chit chat ensues blah blah blah stuff)

I look at her.

Me (making a statement instead of asking a question): Let me guess. You're a teacher.

Girl (astonished): OMG. How did you know?

Me: It was a guess, but you have that "teacher" look on you. Ya know, like you wanna save the world.

Girl: (Some response I don't remember)

(More random chit chat)

Girl: So what do you do for a living?

Me (teasing/playful): I work for the government... So let me put it this way... You know how you're on Facebook or on your phone and you're sending those dirty text messages? Well someone knows about it...

Girl: Oh no, I'm a teacher, I don't send those kinds of messages

(More random blah blah)

Her "boyfriend" comes by to come take her away.

She tells him (excitedly) that I correctly guessed she was a teacher.

He's not impressed. Makes some forced pleasantries with me before leaving and taking her.

Boyfriend (right before leaving): You're just a creeper, aren't you.

Me (mostly unphased, in a firm yet calm tone): That's uncalled for, man.

Girl rebukes the "boyfriend"

Boyfriend apologizes and shakes my hand and they both leave.

Time passes. Perhaps an hour.

I am standing at the bar now. I see my friend come up, the crazy drunk. He is with this aforementioned girl and getting a little frisky with her. They come up to the bar and he makes out with her.

She looks at me.

Girl (expressing disbelief): Is he really your friend (referring to my friend). Is THIS your competition?

Me: Nah, I don't see him as competition

Girl: Then what?

Me: I believe in abundance, not scarcity.

Girl: Whats that?

Me: I mean there's enough for everyone.

Girl: Would you rather be with a teacher or a prostitute?

Me (startled by question, not knowing what to say but excited at the prospect of this girl. She was beautiful): A prostitute is just nasty

Girl: Not for sex, for company.

Me (mumbling some kind of semi-coherent response): I'd never even consider a prostitute

Drunk Friend (to me, sensing the awkardness): Please just stop talking

(More making out ensues between them?)

Girl: Let me tell you what's going on. Your friend here just bought me a Lemon Drop Shot. He is going to lose all his money. All the girls out there are going to take his money until he runs out.

Not sure what I said next.

Me: How are you making out with him when your boyfriend is right here?

Girl: I told him I want to hangout with you now. You were [can't make out words but she said something like you weren't mean to me or something].

"Boyfriend" comes by and takes her hand to pull her away from me and drunk friend.

Me: What do you want me to do?

Girl: [Can't remember what she said precisely] Stand up to him (the "boyfriend")

There's a pause

Girl: You're afraid...? Tell him "No! This is my girl now!"

Me (stunned and not knowing what to say): You need to decide.

Girl (exasperated) gives look of disbelief and walks away with the "boyfriend"

Analysis:

Despite my disheveled condition and horrible mood. I DHV'd myself by guessing her profession. I also disarmed her with the playful/teasing and came across as mysterious somehow. The "boyfriend" DLV'd himself by showing his insecurity and calling me a creeper. I showed that I was the stronger man by not being reactive.

When she came back again... She was looking for me to take control of the situation and claim her. This reinforced to me that girls don't want to make decisive actions, they want to be led. She may have disliked her "boyfriend" but wanted a stronger man to come take her away instead of walking away from him.

I don't know how I should have reacted to her saying "Tell him 'No! This is my girl now!'". It could have been a shit-test. Or she could have been playing me to create jealousy on part of the "boyfriend".

Either way, I wasn't willing to fight him for a girl I had just met. I'm not sure what I should have done. She was hot though.
