Hey all, just sharing a quick experience from tonight. I'm new at this seddit stuff, have yet to get over my AA but I desperately want to.

I was at a low key bar with a couple of my friends, and I noticed a HB7 and HB6, both Asian, enter and sit at a table. I had a couple drinks at this point, so I felt the extra courage to say hi. My friends and I were just about to leave to, so I wasn't totally sure of what I wanted from them, but I felt a now or never sense of urgency to man up and try saying hi.

I notice that they're dressed for an upscale club and not the bar we were in. So for better or worse I opened by saying something to the extent of, "hey sorry to interrupt, but you two look way too nice for a place like this, shouldn't you guys be at Circle [upscale Asian club]?" The two of them were sitting and looking up at me, standing by their table. No touching, no kino, nothing.

They kinda scoff and say, "Ha, Circle. We were just hungry so we stopped in here, we're going to another club after this." They don't seem very receptive, and I can't think of anything else to say, so I just say, "cool, have a good night then" and walk away and leave with my friends. One of my (female) friends told me one of the girls gave her a dirty look as we were leaving, as if to say, "you know that guy?" Anyway, I'm just writing this because I feel a bit pissed about the thing. I generally think of myself as above average, so I feel somewhat slighted that they didn't react better to me. Any comments/thoughts would be appreciated! Cheers, folks.
