Try having a couple beers before you go to take any edge off,

A) When you arrive, either look for buddys you know, or stick with people you know for a little bit while getting a feel for things. Talk to these people, smile, laugh, have a good time, look like you're having a good time.

B) While you're busy having a good time at this party, be looking for cute girls that aren't obviously taken, girls who are smiling a lot, when you find one, go up and introduce yourself! Don't wait, don't sit there talking to your friends convincing yourself to approach, just go!

Walk up, eye contact, Say something , anything to her, with a smile !

"Hey! How's your night going?" "Hey! I'm SirWill! Do you go to school around here?"

After that, just chat her up about whatever! If you're getting a good vibe, escalate, kino, etc etc etc ! At the end, no matter the reason, whip out your phone and say something like, "Let's get coffee sometime! Think I could get your number?" as you pass her your phone.

Above all, Have fun, look like you're having fun, eye contact, SMILE A LOT.

Talk to everybody. I like to go talk to all the guys to remember all their names and get them to remember mine, then, I quickly become the life of any party and it makes meeting the girls easier, then you can just say hey, I haven't met you yet, but you are really cute to any girl there..

Go to have fun, don't necessarily focus on F-close. As a beginner myself, I just try to be the most Alpha person there, and from that confidence swing into an IDGAF attitude, and from there you are outcome dependent and the girls will notice and like that when you talk to them.

Slightly unrelated but does anyone else feel like the game is incomplete? Strauss mentions how he grew and molded himself into a pickup god until at some point he was mistaken for a celebrity and he had an epiphany to (quote from the book) "to truly get to the next level I'd have to find a way to flip the same attraction switches a celebrity does - without actually being famous". However he drifted from the point and never really got to it..

I'd say try going early if you know the guy, ask to help if you can. As people are coming in, its much easier to introduce yourself as its going to be much more condensed. Later on in the night, it'll be cake to reapproach them as you've already introduced yourself.
