I have a hard time reading physical cues. People often ask if I have Asperger's. Where can I find someone to coach me on reading physical cues?

Here's my idea. Hire a college student to read the book and then watch a movie with them pausing a lot to discuss the body language that was just displayed. Or just watch movies with a notepad, by yourself, with three tells on it, and tick every time you notice those specific tells.

If you also have difficulties with intonation etc. watch a scene once muted so you can concentrate on the body language, then in a language you don't understand so you can concentrate only on the body language, and only finally watch it in English/other language you're fluent in.

If your body language reading skills are as poor as you say you do not need a Joe Navarro style expert, at least not yet. You need someone who is willing to read the book and watch the movies, or sitcoms, or tv series with you once or twice a week. Put a note up on the notice board of the nearest psychology department and take the person who seems most socially adept to you.

If you do this for long enough you can then graduate to people watching in a cafe/mall and making up stories about people based on their body language, companions, apparel etc.
