First step is to tell him that he doesn't need a hype man when he's all the hype he needs- you could be the best salesman in the world and not manage to sell a turd to the queen my man. Get your friend in good spirits before going back into the hunt.

Other than that- show to the girls that you're both high quality, tell some stories about some whacky shit you guys have done, hi-lighting his involvement, but let him be the life of the interaction, mostly. That's all that my experience has to say, I'm sure others can contribute more

Be around. Be cheerful. Help with approaches if he's shy. Open sets. Say good things about him. Make him look alpha. Watch his back. Pull him aside if he's sliding off the rails. etc.

I take pride in being a good wingman. If you have a group of alphas that know how to wing each other, you're almost unstoppable.

Just encourage him to pursue manly goals. Testosterone boosting activities. Improve himself.

Trying to fix other folks problems is one of the most exhausting things you could do to yourself. If you don't know that now you'll soon learn.

The desire to win, to improve, comes from within. You can't fake this shit. This isn't motivation.

It's god damn iron will. You can't really teach ppl this attitude.

You can lead by example though.
