The only person that makes you "lose face" is yourself when you let the rejection affect you. Handle the rejection in whatever way is most entertaining or satisfying to you. I have gone with "nice to meet you, enjoy your night with your cellphone" when a girl was just texting and not engaged with the conversation at all, but most of the time as long as she is polite with the rejection I just say "fair enough" and walk away. There is no need for a pointed remark or comeback unless you really feel good about it. It's not an argument.

I do Cold Approaches and I usually walk away, turn around and say "Call me" with a smirk and a Call Me hand movement. Friends told me I look like a boss when doing that.

I just realised I've never asked someone out when their answer wasn't already obvious, aka I knew they were going to say yes.

I'm now not sure if I'm just generally over confident and lucky about it, or if people usually ask girls out way sooner than I do?

I laugh and move on.

Sometimes I've found myself getting rejected not only from asking girls out but from simply approaching new girls at a bar or small house party.

I say things like "ok no problem" and walk off and enjoy my night. We can change how we interpret the rejection as other people have said in this thread. I see it as a game and a learning curve, I even go as far as to say "getting my rejections in for the night guys!" after my friends chuckle because I had the courage to approach a HB 9 or 10 and she rejected me.

At first, you are sill learning to get over your AA. You still are coming off beta and nervous. Eventually you'll come off as confident and interesting, so quick rejection just sort of stops all together and if when it does, I'll have a funny comeback every time, and just roll on.
