What on earth...

I've been on anti-depressants before, for a period of a year and a half. A couple things: 1) its not this good time happy drug 2) it doesn't do shit all for your AA, 3) you're yawning all the time and your dick just takes on a mind of its own.

this is umm. well. i dont even really know what to think or say about this post. mostly since i beleive we are an extremely over medicated society in the first place since people arent willing to put in effort for anything anymore...but this is a whole different discussion for a different sub.

I understand if this is meant to be helpful, but lumping people who are tired, unmotivated and sressed into the same category as people who truly have a chemical imbalance is not really relavant or helping anyone here.

Maybe if someone mentions they are tired or unmotivated or anxious we should as a group, try to support them by collecting more information, and asking better questions?

This sub is here to help people, not pawn them off and blame "chemical imbalance" as the true issue. I feel like if we all took more than 2 seconds to collect more information about our OPs and get more background information we could help suggest things to our fellow sedditors that might be more in tune with what they need.

Perhaps the mods can adjust the posting rules? ex: if someone posts a "i need help, i can never approach, im always tired and cant go out" type of post, WE as a COMMUNITY require as much information as possible to accurately assess the situation and give worthwhile opinions and advice.

I disagree with you guys, I suffer from social fobia and have anxiety attacks so the doctor gave me paxil to help calm me down and it works quite a bit.
