Whats up Seddit,
So I've been brainstorming all summer trying improve my game theory and improve my social interactions and I stumbled upon a great little bit of advice for overcoming AA,
I came about it by accident when I was about to phone a driving instructor to organize lessons, I was starting to get nervous and thinking things like 'what should I say' and worrying about running out of things to say (sounds a bit like AA right),
So I just looked up and said 'Wait a minute I'm the Boss' then just pressed the call button, and the interaction went great and I have now organized driving lessons,
Now you may be thinking '_CR phoning up about driving lessons and opening a set are completely different things, you were always bound to organize lessons' and yes I agree with you they are different things and I was always going to organize driving lessons, But the initial nerves were relatively similar,
So what is happening when I look up and say 'Wait a minute I'm the Boss'? Well let’s dissect it and explain bit by bit,
First: Looking up, now this may seem meaning less but it really does help, By looking Away from the set you want to open you are distracting yourself so when you say it to yourself you are not distracted by seeing them, (in my case i looked away from my phone),
Second: 'Wait a minute', This part grabs the attention of your subconscious, In personal experience if someone says 'wait a minute' nine times out of ten they have had a sudden realisation about the subject at hand so I'm conditioned to give my full attention which in this situation also helps as a distraction, you may need to modify this to fit what you are conditioned for,
Third: 'I'm the Boss', this part is self-reassurance, so you are reinforcing who you are to your unconscious, for example if you think about what you attribute to a 'boss': confidence, authority, powerful, is in charge etc., in retrospect saying 'pimp' or 'pick up artist' could be better in a club scenario,
Forth: Just do it, simple enough just go and open the set, this works in the same way as the 3 second rule so you approach before you have a second to start getting AA, in my case I called the number before I had time to doubt myself,
I advice that you only use it for first approaches and getting into state, because I can't be certain that its effects will last if its used over and over,
I hope that this will help some of you guys with AA and first approaches; I know it will help me,
Sorry if I have stolen this from somewhere without realising!
Good luck _CR
Opinions and feedback please!
Edit: Made it a bit more understandable,
