I stopped by Groningen on a bike trip through the Netherlands a few years ago.

I didn't see a single girl my age who was unattractive.

Haha, funny. Reminds me of an approach a friend accidentally made. At the club, he was asked by a few girls dancing on a sort of catwalk to get another girl up there to dance with them, so he turned around and asked the first good looking girl if she wanted to dance, and proceeded to point at the catwalk, on which of course, there was no one any more. She said yes, so he got to dance with her instead, yay \o/

Something similar happened to me. I arrived at a bar to meet my friends and their friends and found them at a table. I shook hands with everyone at the table and introduced myself. Everyone was being friendly and conversational. It as only later that I found out that the table consisted of two parties, my party being only 4 out of the 10 people I introduced myself to. By then I kind of laughed it off and the entire 10 person group continued mingling.

I went on a socializing bender last weekend, that started with a random invitation to an overnight in a smaller vacation town near my city, extended from a group I had not seen in 5 years. At the start I was just opening groups of guys/girls on the way to the bar and generally inside the bar. You can do anything, like I will sometimes just look at a girl and put my hands on my hips and make a confused look like something is up, and she will come over and ask me 'wtf!?". It takes nothing to create conversation. At the end of the night I gave so little fucks that I was randomly wandering the streets and talked to some couple, but out of the corner of my eye saw two girls coming and did a complete jumping 180 to scare the sh*t out of them, then introduced myself, walked them to their hotel and declined the invite for a drink with them (maybe i should have taken that? it was like 3 am...), but guess who is taking both of em separately out this week/weekend after I number closed instead.
