Although I've improved enormously over the past few years at this stuff, most of my approaches are done at night or in social settings (university events, where you've already seen the people around).

The few times I HAVE done cold approaches, I was not clear about my intentions. I was either practicing getting over my anxiety by giving a compliment and moving on, and not actually trying to close. Other times I closed, but I didn't tell the girl I thought she was attractive. I have almost NEVER done this.

If I were to count all the times I've actually cold approached a girl and paid her a compliment, or told her I was only talking to her because I thought she was cute, it would be under 5 approaches.

What about you guys? How many have you ACTUALLY done? And what do you think is holding you back if the answer is less than 10?
