Is there any setting which prevents you from visiting their profile while you are still friends? (i mean i definitely control it but incase you get really tempted).I dont want to unfriend them coz that would mean I wasnt strong enough by myself to get over them.

I can see other social apps causing this problem, instagram, twitter, snapchat, shit can be rough, but best break it off asap

As a guy recently out of an 8 month, and whose ex is in the identically same social circle (we both went to uni for first year last year, same residence, same friends), I agree with all of this.

sometimes it's hard to make the break. I'm lucky enough to have gone through this once before, so i was able to "rubbing alcohol" the stickiness away relatively quickly this time. i imagine it will be more difficult for her because she has to go through the guilt of having broken up with me and, guess what, i "won" this breakup by getting rid of stickiness and having a great month apart.

she asked me back on friday, I havent spoken to her about it, but I don't think it will happen. exs are exs for a reason; there needs to be SPACE and ABSENCE so that both parties can grow into better, more confident people who don't NEED another in their life. if your significant other is a burden, not a bonus, to your life... maybe it's time for some change.

tl;dr : stickiness removal is a key skill and will definitely help your game. mind over matter, dude!

I agree w/not defriending them... oneitis goes away eventually.. the most important remedy is time.
