Daygame indirect vs direct

I agree, it feels weak to go indirect, especially in daygame context. I never do it. Sometimes I'll open by making a comment about what's going on around us, but that's the farthest indirect I'll go.

As far as turning #'s into dates, I think most people here would agree that has less to do with the way you open and more to do with not building enough comfort during the meat of the conversation.

The thing is, most people who think day game is disingenuous or weak are just doing it wrong. It's about being situational, and entering a conversation in such a way that the interaction's beginning is lost seconds in. Most people see game as "Step 1. Step 2. Step3..." which is why the process is interpretted as less iterative than it is, and inner game can seem a little foreign.

Direct has it's benefits, and it's a sort of all guns blazing approach, but from my experience means you receive a much narrower band of acceptance because it can often create a lot of pressure on the other party. This culture shock is also one of its appeals, because no one else is brave enough to do it.

Indirect is applicable at a near universal level. Men, women, business, sexual, friendships, it can work for ALL. If you are doing it right, you'll know why it's good.

I don't always go indirect, but if I do I'll quickly transition by making a statement. I'll show intent by putting a smile on my face.

Most of the time I'll make a comment about something she's wearing, or if she looks lost and needs help finding directions.

I will ask where the apple store is or where the starbucks is with a serious face.. I'll say "Didn't mean to startle you, let me start over, my name is Arxch126, what is yours?" and then its on.

That's as far as I'll go with indirect openers. I think the point is to get a girl to stop and take you seriuosly and once you initiate a conversation, you can show her how fucking awesome you are
