Hey Seddit,

I found this sub a while back and laughed it off, and now with the turn of events in my life recently, I came back and realized the wealth of awesome information here. I'm 18 (M), a freshman in college, and I just got out of an almost 2 year relationship. I've only had a few serious relationships, very few short ones. I like to think I have game, but I realize now that I don't. I spent all of high school with 2 girls, and I'm not complaining, but I never have learned to make friends.

I realized the other night that I don't want to be sitting by myself in my dorm room every night. It's Fall break now, and I want to meet some people before Winter break, and have skills to take in to the new semester. Not to brag, I've been told I'm funny, easy to talk to, and am good in bed. I just don't personally have the confidence to approach people. I HATE doing it. I know i'm in college, and there are a TON of girls out there more than willing to have a good time, I just don't know how to initiate it.

I've done my searches around the sub, and found some bits and pieces, but nothing exactly what I am looking for. How do I learn to approach girls? How do I build confidence to actually try it and not fear being rejected? Where do I even go to meet people? I can text girls and get them interested really easily, but in person I freeze and things get ugly fast. Can you guys offer any advice?

edit- A little more about myself

I currently am working at a restaurant in the town I go to school (same town I grew up in), and usually work Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, meaning I miss the majority of parties and stuff on campus, not that I even know how to find them. I have pondered joining a fraternity, just for the social benefits and sorority girls. I just want to get out and have fun, I've spent my entire life so far in serious relationships, and I want to experience the "hookup culture" of college
