When I get a number, I get into the mindset that if I don't use it within a few days to make plans with that girl, the number becomes obsolete.

For instance, I met a girl on Friday, texted her on Sunday to make plans for Monday (which was a mistake, I should have asked her what day works for her this week, rather than giving her an easily rejectable question) and she said she was busy today but would be surely down for another day. I caught myself 'worrying' this afternoon, and thinking that I MUST text her today or tomorrow to make plans for later this week.

I asked my sister for her advice (PS: Asking our sisters for advice is probably a lot more valuable than reading this sub-reddit lol) and she said it's best to text her next weekend and ask her what day works for her for the upcoming week. In my mind, my (self-limiting) belief of one week expiry date is telling me that it'll be too late then.
