So a little context: I'm a 4th year in College, and I've entered this sphere a few months ago, and finally made my first approach in December (I still remember the experience being scary as SHIT, btw). I've gotten pretty proficient since then, and feel comfortable opening with mostly any girl.

During the first month, I was pretty desperate and closed for coffee dates almost after every conversation good or bad. I felt like I needed to build experience or something. But after several terrible dates, I realized not every girl that was willing to go out with me is "the one", which I had naively thought was true for the past 21 years... Anyways, I'm still approaching more than ever now, but I actually haven't closed in a few weeks, after maybe talking to >20 girls. I know my conversations are really fluent, and I have no problem talking and engaging in multiple topics. I've also gotten good at actively digging for clues about personalities and lifestyle choices and what not. However, I'm slowly realizing I'm getting incredibly judgy/picky and just ending the conversation without exchanging numbers. Somehow, I'm convinced that if that conversation would go on for a whole hour or so on a date, I know I still would not enjoy it.

So my question is, am I being too picky? I'm just wondering since I feel like the whole philosophy of this subreddit is get the number at all costs and pursue the girl... So do you think I'm being an idiot for being too choosy on who I even want to ask out on a date? I may also be in a state where I don't know what/who I want right now. I know I do want sex, but I still haven't gotten past my moral codes of only having sex with a girl I actually can appreciate and have feelings for. Advice please, guys?
