Bookstore,coffee shop are good choices.buy some coffee and tea and see if anyone's checking you out!or just approach someone and ask them about a book see if you share any common interests.

There are a lot of cafes that host live music on the weekends. Tends to be chill music since you can't necessarily rage in a coffee shop.

I am sitting here writing this from a rock climbing gym on my phone. I just finished and I have only been here for a few weeks, and have made a ton of friends. I have met girls and gotten numbers as well as made friends with a lot of cool guys. The people who climb are some of the friendliest people I have met. I come every Saturday by myself, and every Saturday I meet new people and have a blast. Just one idea

Go to coffee shops and chill there. Approach some cute girls there, if there aren't any give it a half hour to an hour. Then go to another shop and just do the same, or go to the book store. Mall could work too, maybe go grocery shopping. You'll be doing a lot of walking, get use to it.
