I sometimes get a number, text her for 20 minutes or so and never text her again because I feel the conversation went downhill very quickly. I realize I probably shouldn't be giving up, but I feel there are more opportunities and I'd rather not waste my time anyways with something that won't work.

My definition of the friend zone is that if you got out of it, you were never in it in the first place- you just thought you were. I equate it to a black hole.

I really hope this is how it goes for me this summer. There's this girl I've recently become reinterested in and I guess we agreed on a date though I'm not sure if she was serious. There's been a lot of flirting over text back and forth for the past few months, but we're both at college currently so it's never been face to face. Who knows, if she wasn't serious it isn't the end of the world. Can't help second guessing myself though because I've been single for almost 3 years
