Dont let other people break your state. Remind yourself that you should assign zero value to a strangers random bullshit comment. Being self entertained is the best course of action, in this regard. Respond with "no, I bet you secretly love it. Besides, ____ _____ really highlights my brown eyes."

I could totally see this being in a pick-up situation! anyway .

as a rule I often reply to guys fashion jokes with " Since when did they start letting men into the Fashion Police ? "

in a broader sense, whenever someone gives you shit you should just let it slide right off you. let this loser have his laugh and smile politely and laugh at yourself. you are not insecure. this is a part of the "alpha-male"- theory that still holds very true in my opinion
