I'm not going to lie, throughout high school and a bit of college, I thought I had to trick a girl into liking me. Initially, I read the sidebar and other PUA books because I thought that I would find a bunch of ploys and gimmicks to get girls to like me. However, it does not work like that. What I have found that works best is coming off as a genuine and mature person. It makes sense, if you're a cool guy, and the girl likes you, then why on earth would she not want to go out with you? If she likes you and turns out down, she would have to be stupid (and yet, there are some fool here who believe that girls turn them down because they are playing games and such).

Also, I cannot stress how important it is to be genuine and not be scared to show your feeling towards her. My friends from HS, the "pussy posse" would always tell me to treat the girls like shit, and that would be the only way she would sleep with me. They were right in that women do not want to be supplicated, and they want someone that is equally or less emotionally invested. I've asked out girls half-heartedly and in a non-serious wishy-washy was and none of them responded well.

What also work is starting a relationship on a formal matter and then transition to less formal as she becomes invested. Again, the "pussy posse" would literally walk into mall cafeteria's and just sit down next to hot girls. They mostly always got asked to leave (sometimes nicely, and other times not so nicely). This weekend I was at the mall and I approached this girl and said: "hey, I'm Rusty84, what's your name?" then, I told her that I saw her and she looked lonely, and I asked her if I could sit with her. She seemed sort of shy, so I told her that I had just seen a documentary about ESP, and we got into a conversation about that. (I couldn't read her well, so I couldn't figure out what she was into.)

Be educated and read a lot of books. I cannot tell you how many girls have turned out to like me, despite being from different social stratifications (preps, vegan hippies, etc.) just because I read a lot of books.

And, most importantly be alpha. Be the leader. Be the head of the table, the person that people go for approval, the person that gives the orders. Women are turned on by powerful guys.
