Hey Seddit, today I spent the whole day daygaming. I usually go to school, daygame, draw and go home. However today I specifically went out to work on my seduction skills.

Like the title says, I was mostly tripping, stuttering, stammering with my words. I figured it was mostly because it was early and I needed to approach a few people to get warmed up. It wasn't the case. I kept messing up. The opening line I used was the basic hi, excuse me, I thought you were cute, I had to meet you etc. Even that was hard for me to say without stuttering and messing up.

It wasn't just that, I literally couldn't hold or save the conversation to save my life. It would be a few question about school, their major, work and then BAM I don't know how to transition or branch out the conversation. It could be the response that they give me as well as how I was asking the question. I know, I shouldn't be asking a million question like an interview but I'm a beginner.

The last approach was in a cafe. I noticed a woman was by herself, so I thought, why not? why not ask her if she wanted some company. So I bought some coffee and approached her. Guess what? I fucking botched it. I was stuttering, stammering, saying the wrong thing. I can tell she was creep out and said no, that she minded me joining her. I left with the useless coffee in my hand.

So this is what I learned today. The old saying, think before you speak. I realized that if I took the extra minute or two and figured out what was I going to say, things may would have gone differently. If I came up and said "Excuse me, I saw you and I just had to say Hi. My name is Artistblock, what's yours?". She tells me her name and then "Nice to meet you(her name), are you by yourself? do you mind if join you?" Something along that line instead of my botched version of just saying anything.

Anyway, did anyone had this problem when they first approaching, if so how did you overcome this?

TLDR: Stuttering and tripping my own words. Horrible conversation skills. Realized that If took a minute to think about what I was going to say things might have gone different.
