Be more humble and watch your place. Think dignity, not dominance. Nelson Mandela was an alpha male in prison. He might have been yelled at, humiliated and subservient, but that doesn't keep you from being alpha. What DOES keep you from being alpha is not accepting the situation and getting angry.
I think unreactivity is the concept you're looking for? When you don't really get to fight back, just be loose and take it.

Remember that 93% of conversation is body language. Make direct eye contact with that person, look down their body and back at their eyes, give a "heh" of disapproval, and continue on with whatever you were doing. It doesn't matter if you're cleaning bathroom stalls and he's the next white-version of Chris Brown, you can make it clear that, in your mind, you're better than him with this single trick. And who ever has the stronger mindset ends up winning.
