you see them in your classes... and you... can't... -hang on a sec- deep breath ... think of anything to talk about ??
sometimes the amount of overthinking of some guys leaves me speechless. ( no offense ofcourse ! ) talk about the class, duh ! discuss your professor, the lesson, the building, your schedule, the college, whatever . and that's just the place to start ! actually listen to what a girl replies and take it from there. you are not a robot who needs a command to form a reply; you can contribute your own information to the conversation. it also helps to avoid yes/no questions with particularly shy girls.
as for an opener; easy peasy lemon-squeezy : " hey, I've seen you around before, I thought to myself 'today I would like to meet her' " / " hi , I've seen you once before in class, you look like somebody I would like to meet "
you don't have AA and can't think of anything to talk about. you can't think of anything to talk about because you have AA . just chillax, slap on a smile and fake some confidence and walk over there like the fucking man that you are. the more at ease you are, the more you won't be "in your own head" and conversation will be easy.

Don't think about just do it.
A good way is to notice a lady and fixate on one thing about her (i.e clothes, ring, notepad, etc.)
Say hi, talk about this thing and see where it goes. Exit if it gets too hot. The end.
Do it a couple times you'll be ready to add more things to your game.

epicdroid121, I've been a lurker here for almost 3 years. My AA was so bad that I didn't do an approach until a few days ago after YEARS of everyday wanting to approach but never would.
What it comes down to is just doing it. The main things that helped was working on just complimenting strangers and then progressing to approaching from there. So how did I actually get myself to approach? Well a big one is forcing yourself to just walk up to the girl. That's it. Just walk up to her. Once you're right up to her you'll do it, just watch.
Right now I highly suggest complimenting strangers. When you want to focus on actually approaching, just aim to walk up to the girl.
Remember, it's hugely important not to beat yourself up for your failures. Failures are only set backs and/or feedback. Don't lose sight of that.

Set up a study session
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Best way to go about it is usually by being direct.
Go into a library or class/lecture hall, sit down next to a babe. "Hey, not gonna lie, I sat next to you because you're hot."
Stop a girl in the hallway. "Excuse me, I thought you were beautiful and I wanted to say hi."
Sit next to a girl on a bench outside. "Hey, do you mind if I sit here? Every other seat is taken. Grin and exchange names, have a conversation
Invite people from your workgroups out for drinks, or to a party and get to know them. Build connections and social proof.
I'm at a community college too, and its tough to overcome AA because of how small the place is but I respect myself a lot more after I do make an approach. That feeling resonates with others and they respect me more for making the approach as well.

fuck it , I'll upvote these. neither direct nor indirect game are right/wrong . it's a matter of personal style and these are good direct game lines

Here's the thing: most people can steel themselves enough to stop by someone and drop a premeditated line on someone.
"Hey, not gonna lie, I sat next to you because you're hot."
She giggles a little bit, tucks her hair behind her ear and grins. "Thanks"
Okay. Good sign. You grin back for a moment and then --
Oh shit. Now what.
Okay. Okay. Time to be perceptive. She's working on something. Do you ask what she's doing? Do you introduce yourself? THERE ARE SO. MANY. OPTIONS. And yet none of them seem like the right thing to say. And suddenly you realize you've been grinning at her like an idiot for about 10 seconds now and she's retreating back to the safety of her book.
"Wannagogetacuppacoffeewime?" Ugh. That came out horrifically.
She looks up, gives you a small smile and says, "Sorry, I can't right now."
"Oh, okay. Another time then."
Then you proceed to waste the next half hour of your life because you were SUPPOSED to study for that big O-chem exam you have tomorrow but instead you're trying to figure out how to best re-approach this girl that you just met.
She gets up and gathers her things and walks out. She gives you a little smile of acknowledgement as she passes you but nothing more significant than that.
The truth is you really just have to try it. There's really no foolproof way to meet someone, and not everything works on everyone. You're going to swing and you're going to miss. The important thing is you take the shot.

Lmao, way to over think it. Obviously introductions would be next. After that you can talk about whatever you want for as long as you want. Keep it light, funny, and playful. Transition to getting her number or an instant date after 5 or 10 minutes. It's that easy.
These lines are just examples.
[–]tungtwister 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
There is no "obviously". There is no set formula. And for a lot of people it's definitely not "that easy".
The truth is overcoming approach anxiety is hard. But the only advice that you can really take and apply to your life is to just go and TRY it. The goal isn't to get peoples' numbers or dates, the goal is just to get yourself comfortable in your own skin and around other people.
My point is just that sure, giving people lines that they can open with is nice, but they're bandaids, not solutions to the problem. The truth is you can open with something as simple as "hi", but the only important thing is that you try it and keep trying it until you get comfortable.

I'm really against these sort of lines...it comes off too strong and scares most girls. Start off with 'Hi, my name is x'. The conversation and physical escalation will tell her you are interested in her.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Too strong? It's a good thing I'm not interested in most girls, because I'm not most guys. If a woman can't take a relaxed, genuine compliment from me without being scared I don't really need to continue talking to her. That shows me she's probably very insecure and isn't comfortable with her sexuality.
These are openers I use if I can't improvise and open with something unique to the situation on the spot.

It's community college. Meaning more cold approaches.

Use basic vocabulary and don't talk too fast, you'll confuse them
