Hey guys, ive been a long time lurker on this subreddit for about a year. I'm 20 Y.O, virgin, never been kissed or had a serious gf. Just recently (about a month) i have been putting myself out there and trying to build my confidence.

I started off walking round my uni stopping and asking girls for the time/directions stuff like that, but today i was thinking about this pickup and told myself "i can do this, it cant be that hard". So here it goes my first cold approach, nervous as fuck btw, heart was beating and legs where kind of shaking...

Saw a cute 6.5/10 sitting on the table on her laptop, walked past her once took a look, did a happy lap and walked back to her. I sat down opposite her and this is how it went

Me: "You look pretty bored over here"

Her: "Nah, im alright, just waiting for a friend"

Me: "Well i saw you, and i thought you where cute and i had to say hi, i'm **** whats your name?"

Her: "Im *** "

This is where i half assed offered to shake hands which she just sort of sat there staring at me as if im some sort of weirdo which through me off guard.

Me: "Well that was rude"

Her: "Oh, uh was i supose to, are you ahh...?"

she was just mumbling at this point..so i interrupted her

Me: "So what are you up to?"

Her: "Waiting for a friend before class starts, how bout you?"

Me: "I just finished, what do you study?"

Her: "[Course here], what about you?"

Me: [Course here], how do you like it?

Her: "I don't really like it"

Here i start talking some shit about why he doesn't like it etc. convo dies out and i say im gonna head off, didn't ask for the number, she didn't seem too interested, kept looking away etc. I say "I'm gonna head off" to which she replies "thanks for the chat" (didn't sound genuine).

My thoughts:

-talk louder with more confidence -thinking of shit to say is pretty simple
