Today I wasted a big opportunity. I don't want to concentrate to much on the down side, and focus on how I can improve.

There were 2 girls on the street, exactly while I walk by one says to the other:

"Incredible! We walked straight on a straight street, how could we got lost?!"

Now, as soon as I heard it, I thought "I have to stop and say ask them if they need info"

And I walked another step.

I thought, I'm still no time, I should turn and ask

Another step.

It still won't look weird if I stop now.

Another step.

Cm on stop and say something

Another step.

What is wrong with you? STOP WALKING

Another step.

ITS EASY JUST GIVE EM INFORMATION YOU KNOW THIS FU**ING TOWN!

Another step.

Ok now it's been like 5 seconds that would sound weird

And then it was 10 seconds and then 15 seconds.

I realized my biggest problem is that I'm shy but not really shy.

I make people laugh all the time, people love to be in my company, I know that. I have a hard time breaking the ice. Like, BIG TIME. The "haaaave you met ted?" would work just fine with me, coz as long as I don't have to say the first sentence, I'm fine! Then I can talk, be funny, be smart, whatever. (Even be an idiot sometimes, i'm not saying I'm a pro gamer :D)

I decided to talk to a random stranger at least once every day.

Could you suggest me an easy question to begin with?

Of course asking stuff like "have you ever been betrayed by someone you deeply love?" wouldn't be easier at first. But ideally I'd like to become able to ask stuff like that. Of course it wouldn't be nice to ask someone something like that, but when you have an hard time asking "do you girls need some help?" you might as well aim for the stars...

Some ideas I had.

"do you have a cigarette?" Then, I just say thank you and leave. I don't smoke. "It's a beautiful day today, isn't it?" "sorry, may I ask you how tall are you?" "Sorry, how old are you?" "Do you smoke?" "Have you ever smoked?" "What's your name"

One I'd like a lot is "What do you do for a living/for a living?" It's kinda personal, but not too much. That would be at least a 5/10 for me

The problem is I live in a relatively small town, and I can't help but think that if I do that everyday, for a month there will be people saying "there is this weird guy that asks random stuff and just leaves"

I really just want to be able to break the ice at first. I don't want to start conversations (I don't even have that much time). But maybe on my way to work, I can ask someone one question everyday, and see it's not that easy.

I remember I had a hard time when I started in sales too. Making phone calls, talking to strangers, will they hung up on me? Will they just say no? Will I sound like a dork? Will I choke? Now I just developed an habit, and when I choke or they hang up on me I just laugh at it, and do it better the next time

Thanks for your help guys n gals.

Appreciate it.
