Why is this a shit test? Me being the easy going guy I am and new to this would think that's fine traffic, public transport etc etc..

"Shit test" lol. This is a perfect example of overthinking it, and a very easy way to come off as an asshole and lose girls.

"Shit tests are most easily recognized by being in a scenario where there appears to be no right response." - And this is not one of those cases, you're dealing with an issue that's time sensitive and she even texted you t tell you she might be late. Sometimes unexpected shit happens and people arrive a few minutes late, what's the big deal?... I've had a lot of dates where I'm late, and dates where the girl is late. If they're very late you can tease them about it, but don't go full asshole... Nonetheless you responded fine, but this is definitely not a shit test.

A shit test in this case would be something like "Hey, I'm going to bring my friend. Hope that's ok!" or "Dinner's on you tonight right?!"

Don't become the paranoid PUA. You didn't "pass a shit test" here.
