Text her so she has your number. Then ask her for coffee in about a week (not on a friday or saturday because you'll look like a loser who doesn't have weekend plans).

If she flakes or it doesn't go well, who gives a fuck. You manned up and got dem digits, which is already more than most guys are able to do. You said you don't often get numbers, so asking and succeeding are victories in themselves.

EDIT: If you think "uhh sure" is bad, I just did basically the same thing, saying "let's get coffee some time, here, put your number in my phone" and her response was "as friends, right?" Ouch. And this was from a chick who always makes an effort to sit beside me in class and always initiates conversations.
