So I've been pretty head over heels for this girl for about two months now - I wanted to get to know her well before trying anything romantic. Now, we're decently close, are really comfortable around each other, and talk/text pretty much every day. I've always thought there's been a bit of sexual tension but never enough to fully convince me to just go for it. To my knowledge, she doesn't know that I have feelings for her.

Anyway, this Christmas she gifted me a mixtape out of the blue (is that generally a sign of interest to begin with? I have no fuckin clue). So I made one for her in response and told her I would mail it (we've since gone home for semester break). And I did, two days ago. Thing is, I also included a pretty heartfelt letter that I wrote out. It's not too long, and it's not some sweeping, over-romantic, end-all Romeo bullshit. I kept it light, funny, and to the point, all while being pretty sincere about how I feel.

I'm not really second-guessing myself (that's pointless, seeing as it's in the mail), but I wanted some second opinions - I guess my biggest worry is that it might be an awkward way to go about it? At the same time, I thought that the letter shows some actual effort and personality, whereas a phone call could possibly get uncomfortable and text would be straight up impersonal.

And if I seem at all clueless about this it's because this girl in particular is incredibly hard to read. In any case, I'll hear back in two days or so. Hopefully this doesn't make things weird.
