F.O.R.D. family, occupation, recreation, dreams. Remembering this simple word helped me a lot the last half year.

Family - Where did they grow up? Where is their family now? Do they have any siblings? Do they have any children? Now focus on their answers… ask more questions… sit back and listen.
Occupation - What do they do for a living? How long have they been in that occupation? What did they do before? Now focus on their answers… ask more questions… sit back and listen.
Recreation - What do they do for fun? Hobbies? Passions? Something they always wanted to try or do? Now focus on their answers… ask more questions… sit back and listen (beginning to see a pattern here?)
Dreams - What is on your bucket list? Your dreams? Goals? Aspirations? Now focus on their answers… ask more questions… sit back and listen

Just elicit the things that matter to her (e.g. her passions, dreams, goals, career, childhood, secrets), connect/relate to them, and she'll feel like she's found the best guy ever.

Took a girl for a drink, had a conversation like that for two hours, literally didn't say anything about myself besides experiences that connected with hers, or about people I've met and dealt with who had her problems, found things out only her family and closest friend knew, and was told "I don't want this to end" when the cafe was closing. She asked to come home with me, 10s into sitting down, physical escalation, ta-da.

And not once did I verbally masturbate with how cool or interesting or witty I was.

I usually like to talk about what i like and then talk about what she likes.

The best things to talk about will be your own experiences. Try to talk about funny or interesting things that have happened to you over your life, nothing too negative if you can help it. This will encourage a natural flowing conversation with lots of laughs.
