So as a recently single male I've been making an extra effort to go out as much as possible the last week and a bit and considering I got a lot of inspiration and confidence from what I read here I thought I'd share my own personal experiences, particularly related to the clubbing scene (keep in mind not everything I say will directly apply to every situation necessarily, but they should still be useful points to consider).
Firstly, while it's not the most original, dance like you mean it and stop caring about what people think of your moves. When I first started going out post-breakup I was a bit shy and it wasn't until I was quite drunk that I would be fully busting my moves. I'd be dancing sure, but I'd be looking around the entire time to see if people were looking at me and my movement was limited. Tonight though, even before drinking much, I just danced and had a good time. As a result, whenever I did pick my head up (the occasional scoutage is necessary naturally) I would see multiple girls fully checking me out. This is in comparison to before when there wouldn't be anyone.
The importance of just enjoying yourself cannot be overstated. Unless you're a pickup beast, if you go out with the sole intention of picking up chicks, you're likely to have a disappointing night. However if you just have fun and it shows (in your smile, natural (movement filled) dancing) then women will naturally gravitate towards you, as they will recognise you as someone who is fun to be around.
Secondly, while I would never suggest you pick up smoking, certainly carry around a lighter. Zippo's especially garner approval. The reason I say this is that there is literally no easier or more natural way to interject someone's conversation, or to start a conversation with an individual, than to offer them a light. They immediately will be grateful for your presence, whilst also subconsciously feeling like they owe you at least a few minutes of their attention. This gives you a chance to attract them with your social skills (for me the most successful thing has been to be myself, and sound confident in myself).
Just in case you might think "myself" is some financial mastermind or someone with a lot going for them, I'm someone who is retaking their a levels (UK equivalent to the grades you need to get to college) because I flunked first time, and the course I want to study is computer science. It doesn't really matter who you are or what you do, if you sound passionate and confident that what you're doing is the right decision for you, they will sense that and value you as a person.
Tonight I got with one woman, and had two others almost begging to get with me but had their friends remind them that they had boyfriends (I don't really like the idea of getting with a woman with a boyfriend, but my thoughts are if she was that in to him she wouldn't have been grabbing my crotch).
If anybody wants any more insights feel free to comment, I would write more but it's 6am and I'm knackered. I hope some people find this useful, and I know I could have gone in to more detail about winning over groups and earning respect but I'm sure you've all read it loads before. If not though just comment with a q and I'll try my best to help you out.
Much love x
