I was out with my buddy on a bit of a sarge last week and I want to share my basic error which was down to not mentally preparing for every possible scenario. I feel ashamed for sharing this, but I feel I need to warn people and as a reminder that I should be ready for anything, not just work on opening and building attraction.

We went out to a pub that did live music which was all great and stuff but was a bit of a dude fest. So once it got to about 1am I suggested to my buddy we try next place along which was a late bar. Never been there before but a few beers and tequilas we decided to go for it. Now as soon as we got in there were HB8s and 9s all over the place. I felt like we'd hit the sarge equivalent of paradise.

Now here's where the fuck up begins. I'm thinking "shit there is tons of hotness here, who do I approach and what can I open with in this situation" when the hottest girl in the club started to grind on my crotch to the music.

I grinded back and my mind fucking went. I just couldn't think up a good opener in that situation, even though anything slightly coherent would have done. All I did was let her go, turn to my buddy and order drinks for us.

How it should have started... taps on shoulder..."Do you grind every guy you see walking through that door?" or "you're one of the most attractive girls I've had hit on me tonight" and taken it from there but I was so stunned by her unexpected move I was paralysed.

So. If you're going to approach women, have a plan for when things happen unexpectedly. Call them out for being forward in a non insulting, teasing way. Don't be a me!
