Well some shittests are a result of showing one good trait, but lacking authenticity. So tenderness, and dominance can both be great.. but some girls will test you if it doesn't seem real, if you seem inauthentic.

...But the real answer to your question: Because women like to be lead, and because they don't want to be seen as nor feel easy/slutty.

Think about the classic term "swept off her feet". Actually imagine it. He's doing all the work. It's not even "ask a guy to sweep me off my feet then he does it", it's just "swept off her feet.". That's exciting to her. They just enjoy being lead. Dominance turns them on. Her doing too much would mean taking away opportunities for him to take the lead and make the move, create that dominance.

I think not wanting to be seen as a slut if self explanatory. I mean why would they. Now sometimes it's so strong it transcends logic. To calm it down form that point it's usually a combination of turning her on, and letting her know you like her (specifically) and being genuine about it.

That's why girls play little games and obstacles for the most part. To avoid feeling easy, to experience and test leadership and dominance.

The best reason I can think of is that a girl's attraction for a guy is not a binary yes or no, it can wax and wane depending on his current behavioral cues and/or her current mental/emotional state. Guys have a hard time understanding this because we see a girl and pretty much know instantly whether we want her or not. Since it's not terribly hard for a guy to fake being cool, the shit tests are an unconscious effort to make sure the guy is "sexworthy."

It stems from evolution, women are the gatekeepers of the eggs, they make the vast majority of the investment in sex since they risk pregnancy (her genes don't know about birth control pills).

On a higher level, it's more about the interaction of masculine and feminine energy, there's sort of a clash that goes on as the two mix together, and it's honestly more fun to have that flirtatious dance than to just meet a girl and be like hey let's go fuck.

One of the problems here is that you think that you are responding logically to all the things that girls do to turn guys on, when you are actually obeying the same "rules of the game" that she is when she gets turned off by things that guys do.

You just need to accept that things are the way that they are. You cannot change it, so you must either adapt or give up.
