Lots of you guys are over complicating the living shit out of asking a girl out on a date.
Following Confucius' philosophy - Life's inherently simple; but we insist on complicating it.
Say "Hi" to girl you think is cute, talk to her some, she seems cool - let's ask her when she's free to get to know her better. She's interested and gives you a time and you come up with a place and you get going on with your day.
The date's simple, it's not some extravagant all day excursion, that's ridiculous - go grab a coffee or a casual lunch at a cute little cafe in the area. She flakes? Maybe she's getting anxious and doesn't want to disappoint you and is putting a lot of pressure on the date, something popping up, maybe she's in a bad mood... or wait for it... she had a change of heart and ultimately wasn't excited enough to meet up with you.
In any case, these plans are an option, not a priority - don't walk around the whole day, nervous for the date - if it happens, cool - a girl who's cool and cute at the same time might get a chance to become part of your life; if not - oh well, I'm sure if you walk around for 5 minutes in the right place you will see another cute girl!
Part of this is self therapy, because I've been getting way too technical with this shit, because I'm so good with the theory and sometimes hide behind theory rather than "act natural". Have a date with a girl this weekend, she told me she's getting anxious and she doesn't want to disappoint me - I told her look, it's not some complicated excursion to two different amusement parks, and framed the date as something completely natural to the conversation we had and how simple it was - she felt better.
Knock on wood, she might come, or she might not, but either way, I'll be fine.
Hope this helps you guys.
