Hi fellow Sedditors. I just read No More Mr. Nice Guy by Robert Glover. Clearly, this was written by a psychologist, judging by its style of presenting the problem in detail, giving a basic solution, then simply stating that the problem is solved. I never really subscribed to this approach as it does not help to fully understand the base problems, for the learning experience to deal with future issues. Regardless, I do plan to re-read it very soon. Although between now and then, I have questions that you guys might be able to help me with.

For instance, the example where the husband was supposedly smothering the wife, was recommended (by the author) to focus on his own wants and make male friends. And then after a couple of weeks, the atmosphere of their marriage is passionate and fixed and full of happy, intimate sex. Can anyone please explain to me how that solution yielded such a result? If he focused on his own wants, what did he have to change when dealing with his wife in the meantime? I feel that there were just too many dots skipped to yield such a desired high-resolution outcome, which is not explained.

Thanks in advance, folks. Cheers.
