Generally, I feel alright being myself. But like a wave's crests and troughs, there are times where I feel like a worthless piece of shit, even though in my mind, I can substantiate my worth from my abilities and accomplishments, and thankful for what I have. Even still, it doesn't have any effect on how I feel. What I've been doing is simply riding out this crappy mood until it goes away, and start "feeling" okay about me just being me.
I am currently in one of these right now.
And it is not okay.
Good thing that maintaining frame isn't an issue (yet, maybe, hopefully never). Heck, just yesterday afternoon, I was taking a solo walk at a local park and was able to approach a dude. Situational opener, as he was stretching, in preparation to continue his run/jog. We talked about fitness and goals, that he'd recently quit smoking, etc., introduced each other, and we each went on our merry ways.
Times like these, specially this morning, I simply switch my mind into some sort of "safe mode autopilot" where Priority 1 is simply to Function in spite of emotion/mood. I need to perform all required tasks period. Go to work, do my job, tend to chores, etc..
There's got to be a way to defeat this occurrence, is there?
