The difference between a friend and a (potential) lover is touch. We touch and are touched by our lovers in ways that friends would consider inappropriate.

I don't want to be known as the creepy cold approach guy.

There are two kinds of "creepy" in modern parlance.

First, there's the guy with no social skills that everyone thinks might be a serial killer. Don't be him.

More commonly, there's the guy that had the nerve to approach a girl without passing her a note in study hall first. If there's something about him she doesn't like, she's likely to write him off as "creepy". This is purely subjective. In fact, her friend might be standing right next to her thinking, "Mmm, I'd have fucked him."

For better or worse, guys have to take the initiative in dating. Your success rate will always be well below 100% and some of those will certainly think of you as the second form of "creepy". It's just a fact of life that you have to accept if you want to get anywhere.

Some women will dig your cold approaches and some won't be interested and/or think you are creepy.

You can't have one without the other.

Introduce yourself, introduce people to each other, go to parties with friends, focus on having and bringing some fun and then isolate the girls you're into.
