Do what you know will be a better story

  • Whenever you see a girl or are facing a "fearful" or "anxious" situation, think about what would you tell a close friend about over the phone if you went through that situation and had fun.

  • This isn't about being outcome oriented, it's about what you would be excited about doing but (insert bullshit excuse) is holding you back.

  • Think about that through out the day, and amaze yourself.

Story Time

This epiphany came to me yesterday while I was working as a 'cab driver'. I picked up 3 cute girls and they were headed for a bar mid afternoon. The whole time we were laughing and we had a lot in common so jokingly we established that we should all drink together as soon as we got there.

However as we made it to the place, "So are you gonna find parking and come drink with us?" immediately part of my insecurities and anxieties rose up, and the excuse I told myself was that I needed to keep working because I needed more money, when in reality it would have been a much better story if I went with them.

My excuse, when I look back, wasn't really valid because I personally believe that experiences are better than money. I haven't regretted anything so much in a while, so this is a lesson for myself and for whoever it resonates with, to make a better story.
