I'm the father of a 9 year-old girl. I recently caught her manipulating/attempting to steal from her brother. She took some money from him (which he foolishly hadn't counted), then "loaned" it to him for a purchase he wanted to make.

I know how much money he had, how much he spent and realized the game she was playing when my son asked me for money to "pay her back". If she had given him money, he would ahead that amount.

I ask TRP because I see this as foreshadowing of her future womanly behavior and want to raise her not to be one of those women. I'm torn between talking it out and punishment. Any insights appreciated.
