Hello Seddit!

Before I begin, (skip this paragraph if you want to get past the sentimentality and go right into my question) this entire community has been a tremendous help for me. 10 months ago I was someone that had trouble making normal conversation with someone - what then hitting on a girl - but since them I think I've really improved and become an at least decent social being. For that you have my deepest gratitude and all my love.

Now my question has to do with some ground rules I've set myself. Mostly the one regarding age. I'm 24 years old. When I was 20, I met a girl that was 18 and had the hardest time reconciling with how young she was. I got over it, but age has always been kind of an issue for me. Nowadays I go by the XKCD formula of (age/2)+7. Currently that means 19, so I don't go below that.

Now I just got back from a fun night, but I came back alone. Nothing wrong with that in the least, but the trouble is that I came back because I turned down two girls who were both 18 and for that reason alone. Hell, one was even selling why I should go home with her. So of course I'm reconsidering my rules right now. The question is, is my rule plain dumb (should I set it lower or abolish it completely) or am I simply being influenced by scarcity into widening my range?

Sorry if I'm rambling or obtuse. I'm not in the best state of mind, but I really needed to get this question off my chest.
