Id say it's a fine line between the two, and the best way to take it from platonic --> flirty is to do the same thing but escalate sexual tension. I'd do this through eye contact and kino. Besides that there's not much you can do except give off a flirter vibe. It's all vibes man

First off let me start off that I'm religious too. I'm also very good with women, I can play the game with the best if them but I never let my game forget my morals and who I am. I think a lot of newbies think that the game of seduction is some how undermining their values in some way. It doesn't have to is my point.

So to get to your question, teasing is a great form of seduction, it's my go to form since I'm naturally funny, so I like to Crack jokes. The great things teasing does is it has numerous reasons why it's so effective.

It eases the tension between you and the girl. One of the greatest obstacles men have are making women comfortable around them. Women naturally always have their guard up, they are physically inferior and they need to have their guard up constantly to ward off guy losers and dirt bags who have no game but constantly hit on them. Making a women comfortable is the single general reason why you get none or you get some, make a women totally comfortable and she'll want you in her bedroom at the drop of a hat. Teasing helps girls ease up, laugh with you, and make them less defensive to you.
Teasing is a form of humor, and what do you always hear, women LOVE funny guys. They just do, the reason again gets back to it make them comfortable when they're having a good time and laughing. Make a girl laugh and she'll naturally draw to you.
Teasing is a form of challenge, you've heard the story before, girls love a challenge. Sure, we all do, guys think they don't but they do. If a girls just throws herself at you that's no fun. I want more stimulation, I want more push and pull. Girls don't want a guy to throw themselves at them because that's boring and predictable, why do think overly nice guys never get any, because the hot girl has heard it all before.... How beautiful she is, how gorgeous, and awesome and boring boring boring. She doesn't want to hear the same bs she's heard a thousand times. She wants a challenge, teasing does that. The hotter the girl the more you break their balls.
It puts you at or above their level. Meaning the second you tell a girl how gorgeous she is and you want to buy her dinner it gives her the upper hand. You always want to keep the upper hand, you do this thru teasing, since teasing keeps her guessing... Does he like me, does he like me not?

Teasing isn't negging, I never insult a girl, ever. Think of it as this, you tease your best friend right, you bust their balls right... You're still Bros till the end right? It's the same thing, teasing girls is fun for all, it creates tension, it's challenging, it's funny, girls love love love all those this things. I always tease in a way that the girl needs to step her game up around me, like I'm too cool for her and that her game is screwing mine up. I call her a dork and tell her if she wants to hang in public with me they're gonna have to not act so dorky. I also love the sex gender role jokes, anything that brings up normal roles each gender has and reversing them in my favor. For instance I'll walk up to a really hot girl and say, hey you know I was thinking, how come it's never the girl that walks up to a guy and buys the guy a drink. Why do we always have to be the one that goes up and offers a the girl a drink. Girls will always laugh and everytime they try to argue I always bring it back to womens equal rights today and how this is the 21st century, it should be the girl taking me out to dinner now. See how that's funny, it's challenging, it's different and girls love it.

The number one rule I have for all guys who are going after a girl seemingly out of their league is to always go in thinking you're the catch, not her

Teasing is a form of flirting.

Flirting is a combination of making jokes (not telling jokes. The jokes on /r/jokes are what I mean)... Like you are walking with your girl, and you see food on the ground and you say "babe! I got you a burger!" In the flirty joking tone. Then she is like "aww thank you". (That is obviously dumb and not historical. But it makes a connection. )

It's all about the vibe.

Compliments are another form. As are role plays, Telling "secrets" and push pull. (I'm sure there are more forms. That's all I can think of.)

The key for most forms is eye contact.
