Recently I've developed a theory I call Hot and Cold. In this theory, every Hot action is countered with a Cold action. Here is an example.

Recently I met a girl on the train. We chatted it up and it turned out we both went to the same university. Anyway, I told her she was beautiful (Hot) and that she actually used to be my crush (Hot). I got her number and texted her immediately (Hot).

It turns out that she is going home for the winter break and we won't be able to see each other for another month. So between now and then I don't plan to text her at all (Cold). When we do text, it will be only logistics (Cold). This Cold will counteract all the Hot signals I gave her.

There is a theory that states that when you go to hold a girl's hand you are supposed to look away. Cold countering Hot. Push and Pull.

This is just a theory and I would love to hear from fellow sedditors as to their experiences using Hot and Cold technique / Push and Pull.
